I finally got around to seeing Robot & Frank; if you have not seen it I urge you to check it out. It features a library, a “library experience,” books, and more books. Frank Langella is wonderful, and had great chemistry with Susan Sarandon.

The future of libraries, the transfer of information, and the value of information in the near future were key story elements for me. Sarandon captains a small, dying library in which she is forced to repair books with duct tape. Duct. Tape.

While those elements were important to me, the movie is also a buddy story, and all the things it means to be a friend.

Oh, and I’m working towards being avant-garde.
